SYNOPSIS
Allowable uses of profits from jail commissary funds
R.C. 341.25
Allows profits from the commissary fund to also be used for recreation, programming services, medication in relation to treatment and programming, to investigate allegations of staff misconduct, to purchase technology necessary for general safety, and to pay for advanced staff training of jail personnel.
Removes language added by the bill that allows profits from the commissary fund to be used for supplies and equipment necessary for jail operations if the purchased items exceed minimum required standards, and to cover emergency expenses for the jail facility if certain conditions are met, and to supplement costs for certain expenses of investigative personnel or units.
