SYNOPSIS

Nurses

R.C. 4723.37 and 4723.371 (removed from bill)

Removes the bill's provisions that would have authorized a licensed practical nurse to monitor a patient, under the direct or general supervision of a physician, for reactions or other adverse events resulting from contrast administration.

Requires a registered nurse administering contrast under the supervision of a physician to have received training and met competency guidelines for administering contrast set by the institution at which the registered nurse practices.
