SYNOPSIS

Status of statutes on doula certification

Section 4 (repealing Section 105.40 of H.B. 33 of the 135th General Assembly)

Removes a provision that would have confirmed that the statutes requiring Board of Nursing certification of doulas and Medicaid coverage of doula services are permanent, as opposed to being repealed on October 3, 2028 (i.e., "sunsetted"), based on the Governor's partial veto of provisions in the main operating budget for FY 2024-2025.
