A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Olentangy Orange High School girls wrestling team as the 2025 Division I State Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are proud to commend the Olentangy Orange High School girls wrestling team on winning the 2025 Division I State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Olentangy Orange High School girls wrestling team has certainly worked as a group to showcase its exceptional talents. The Pioneers trained to develop their stamina and drive, and as a result, they claimed this year’s Division I State Championship with an impressive score of 111.5 total points. Indeed, the squad’s successful season has been underscored by its tremendous athleticism, and it has earned the unparalleled esteem of many who have witnessed the team in action; and

WHEREAS, This impressive accomplishment reflects the resolve that the members of the Olentangy Orange High School girls wrestling team brought to the highest level of competition. Indeed, the outstanding coaching staff, including Head Coach Brian Nicola, is to be credited for encouraging the wrestlers to meet their goals and bring home the Division I State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The athletes who comprise the Olentangy Orange High School girls wrestling team have set themselves apart and serve as an excellent example of what a dedicated group can achieve when guided by committed coaches and surrounded by loyal fans and boosters. These young women have become dynamic athletic leaders, and we are certain they will take with them the lessons of sportsmanship, hard work, and discipline into their future endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Olentangy Orange High School girls wrestling team on its 2025 Division I State Championship and are certain this fine program will continue to achieve; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Olentangy Orange High School girls wrestling team.
