A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., on its Centennial.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., on the occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority was established as a space for college educated women to not only develop their skills but also to take part in edifying public service projects to support the culturally rich and diverse community of Cleveland, and it is fitting that we pay tribute to the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter for its praiseworthy record of service. The group has certainly enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection on its members and leaders, both past and present, and on the entire community; and

WHEREAS, Commendably, the valuable contributions of the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority have met a number of important needs, and it is not surprising that all those associated with this group are widely held in such high esteem. Indeed, their efforts have enabled the organization to flourish, and they have demonstrated how very much can be accomplished by conscientious, industrious people; and

WHEREAS, The inspirational efforts and achievements of the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority reflect the decency, dignity, and dedication of its members. Indeed, these outstanding role models can always be relied upon to favor a worthy cause, and their energy, vision, and vitality have been discernible in all of their ventures. Without fanfare, they have proven themselves to be innovative, resolute, and utterly dependable, and young women could find no finer example to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, we pay tribute to the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., on the celebration of its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
