A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring KyLee Tibbs as a 2025 State Wrestling Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate KyLee Tibbs on winning the 2025 State Wrestling Championship in the 140-pound weight class; and
WHEREAS, A sophomore at Gahanna Lincoln High School, KyLee Tibbs has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in wrestling, and as a result, she defeated a tough opponent from Greeneview High School by the score of 15-12 to win this year’s state championship in the 140-pound weight class, the first state title in program history, and finished the season with a perfect 47-0 record; and
WHEREAS, KyLee Tibbs’ accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to KyLee Tibbs on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in wrestling will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend KyLee Tibbs as a 2025 State Wrestling Champion and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to KyLee Tibbs.
