A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Elyria Middle School seventh-grade robotics team on winning the 2025 VEX IQ Middle School Grade 7 State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Elyria Middle School seventh-grade robotics team, The Fantastic Four, as the 2025 VEX IQ Middle School Grade 7 State Champion; and

WHEREAS, All those affiliated with the Elyria Middle School seventh-grade robotics team are deserving of praise for their ability to excel in many pursuits and to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence. Under the leadership of their coaches, Jenn Smith and Jeannine Stape, the members of The Fantastic Four squad devoted countless hours to rigorous training in order to be in peak mental condition, and consequently, they earned this year’s VEX IQ Middle School Grade 7 State Championship title; and

WHEREAS, Competitive spirit and innovative effort have played major roles in the development of our country. The drive to succeed is best developed when youth are presented with trials that permit them to test their skills, knowledge, and strengths against their peers, and through participation in events such as robotics competitions, students have the opportunity to learn the important lessons of self‑discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; and

WHEREAS, With their vitality, intelligence, and positive outlook, Elyria Middle School seventh-grade robotics team members Chuckie Hood, Trenton Csata, Zack Bickley, and Jayden Jordan have set an example worthy of emulation. We encourage these fine young Ohioans to continue to strive for excellence so that they may assume meaningful and productive roles as leaders in our complex society; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the Elyria Middle School seventh-grade robotics team, The Fantastic Four, on securing the 2025 VEX IQ Middle School Grade 7 State Championship and offer best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Elyria Middle School seventh-grade robotics team.
