A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Dover High School cheerleading team on winning a 2025 OASSA State Cheer Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Dover High School cheerleading team as the 2025 Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators State Cheer Champion in the Division 3 game day non-building large category; and

WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Dover High School cheerleading team have established themselves as truly exceptional competitors by combining talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable dedication, the Crimson Tornadoes have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they placed first in the Division 3 game day non-building large category at the 2025 OASSA State Cheer Championships; and

WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Dover High School cheerleading team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the members of the squad, their families, their school community, and their coaches. Indeed, these athletes have developed determination, perseverance, and camaraderie that they have displayed proudly in all of their competitive endeavors; and

WHEREAS, With athletics playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are pleased to pay tribute to the members of the Dover High School cheerleading team for a job well done. The maturity and experience that these exemplary young Ohioans have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Dover High School cheerleading team as a 2025 OASSA State Cheer Champion and honor its members and coaches on this outstanding accomplishment; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Dover High School cheerleading team.
