A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Siniša Jović as the 2025 U.S. National Kickboxing Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Siniša Jović on placing first at the 2025 U.S. National Kickboxing Championship, March 2, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Siniša Jović is deserving of this prestigious title, a tribute to the remarkable gifts and indomitable spirit that he has so amply displayed as a kickboxer. Training at Rising Dragon MMA and Fitness, he has conscientiously applied himself to the quest for excellence as an athlete, practicing diligently under the tutelage of his coach, Tiawan Howard, in order to ensure peak conditioning, and understandably, the strength, agility, stamina, and skill that he has exhibited have earned him many admirers; and

WHEREAS, Time and again, Siniša Jović has risen to the occasion, maintaining his morale, composure, and good sportsmanship, and he has gained the respect of even his most determined rivals. Clearly, his enthusiastic involvement in martial arts has enabled him to learn much about dedication, self-discipline, and leadership, and in the process, his exceptional prowess has set a fine example that is sure to inspire emulation; and

WHEREAS, Kickboxing is a demanding sport that requires exceptional strength, stamina, and natural ability, and Siniša Jović is to be commended for his exemplary performance at this year’s U.S. National Kickboxing Championship. Throughout extensive practice and preparation, he has developed into a dynamic competitor, and it is our hope that he will take the lessons learned from these triumphs and apply them well as he pursues his goals in the years ahead; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Siniša Jović on his tremendous athletic achievement and extend best wishes for future success as a member of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations USA National Team; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Siniša Jović.
