A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Isabel Evans as a 2025 Division III State Track and Field Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Isabel Evans on winning 2025 Division III State Track and Field Championships in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles; and

WHEREAS, A diligent and capable individual, Isabel Evans is deserving of recognition for her exemplary accomplishments as a senior member of the Northridge High School track and field team. At the 2025 Division III State Meet, she won first place in both the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdle events, setting a state record in the latter, and her notable record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others; and

WHEREAS, Through her participation in sports, Isabel Evans has learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her throughout her life. Through her outstanding efforts, she has inspired many people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and she has set an example worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. With sports contributing to the development of countless youth, we are delighted to congratulate such a fine athlete as Isabel Evans; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Isabel Evans on winning two Division III State Championships and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Isabel Evans.
