A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the St. Xavier High School boys lacrosse team as the 2025 Division I State Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud the St. Xavier High School boys lacrosse team on placing first at the 2025 Division I State Tournament; and

WHEREAS, Each member of the St. Xavier High School boys lacrosse team is an exceptional young athlete, combining personal ability and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable dedication, the players have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, the Bombers secured this year’s Division I State Championship crown, the fifth such title in program history; and

WHEREAS, The members of the St. Xavier High School boys lacrosse team are to be commended, for their victories over a host of talented opponents underscore the athletic prowess and indomitable spirit of the players. Indeed, it is no surprise that their maturity and resolve have gained them widespread respect, even among their most daunting rivals; and

WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of their coach, these gifted athletes have diligently applied themselves to the quest for excellence on the field, and time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination. Participation in lacrosse has taught them a great deal about commitment, self-discipline, and leadership, and clearly, their accomplishments are deserving of recognition; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the St. Xavier High School boys lacrosse team on its outstanding success this season and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the St. Xavier High School boys lacrosse team.
