A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Olentangy High School baseball team as the 2025 Division I State Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Olentangy High School baseball team on winning the 2025 Division I State Championship; and

WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Olentangy High School baseball team have combined talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the Braves have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in baseball, and as a result, they defeated a tough Springboro squad by the score of 2-1 to win this year’s Division I State Championship, their first such title in program history, and finished the season with an impressive 24-7-1 record; and

WHEREAS, The Braves’ achievements and leadership are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their families, their school, their community, and their coaches. In leading this team to victory, the coaching staff has not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in them a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coaches for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Olentangy High School baseball team on its tremendous season and salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Olentangy High School baseball team.
