A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Claire Iaciofano on winning the 2025 OHSAA Division I State Championship in the pole vault.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Claire Iaciofano as the 2025 Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I State Champion in the pole vault; and

WHEREAS, A junior at Turpin High School, Claire Iaciofano has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in her sport, and as a result, she won first place in the pole vault with a mark of 13 feet, 4 inches at this year’s OHSAA Division I State Meet, her second consecutive state title; and

WHEREAS, Claire Iaciofano’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to Claire Iaciofano on an exemplary season. Indeed, the maturity and experience she has gained as a member of the Spartans track and field team will aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Claire Iaciofano on her Division I State championship and look with optimism to her ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Claire Iaciofano.
