A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Ethan Thompson as a 2025 SkillsUSA National Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Ethan Thompson on placing first in the industrial motor control event at the 2025 SkillsUSA National competition; and

WHEREAS, Ethan Thompson has admirably represented the Maplewood Career Center at this year’s SkillsUSA Ohio Championship, and as a result of his unparalleled talent and technique, he secured first place in the industrial motor control event. His tenacity in the face of competition is an indication of the pride he takes in his work, and he can be proud of his outstanding record of accomplishment; and

WHEREAS, Ethan Thompson’s commitment to excellence has gained him the esteem of his peers and his teachers, who have empowered his development and achievement. We commend him on his exemplary achievements, for he has upheld the foundation of excellence through which the State of Ohio will continue to grow and prosper; and

WHEREAS, Displaying self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Ethan Thompson has identified himself as a conscientious and hard-working individual. The knowledge and self-confidence he has gained through his participation in programs such as SkillsUSA will no doubt be of great benefit to him throughout his lifetime, and we applaud him on his tremendous efforts; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Ethan Thompson on his recent accolade and look with optimism to a future that is impacted by his impressive promise and potential; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ethan Thompson.
