A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Notre Dame High School softball team on securing the 2025 Division VII State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Notre Dame High School softball team as the 2025 Division VII State Champion; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Notre Dame High School softball team are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be exceptional competitors by concluding a phenomenal season with the first state championship in program history. The unwavering commitment of the players and coaches has earned them the esteem of many, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, Coach Shad Ford has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Notre Dame High School softball team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the Lady Titans have distinguished themselves on the diamond, and he has received respect and admiration for shepherding the team to the 2025 Division VII State crown; and

WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the Notre Dame High School softball team have gained discipline and perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the Notre Dame High School softball team as the 2025 Division VII State Champion and honor all those who contributed to the success of this fine squad; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Notre Dame High School softball team.
