A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Christopher Monsour as the 2026 Ohio Teacher of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Christopher Monsour on being selected as the 2026 Ohio Teacher of the Year by the Ohio State Board of Education; and

WHEREAS, Motivated by a deep concern for our youth, Chris Monsour has brought insight, expertise, and ability to the important task of guiding young minds. A science teacher at Tiffin High School, he teaches a number of advanced science classes, including several Advanced Placement and College Credit Plus courses, and he has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Findlay, Heidelberg University, and Terra State Community College; and

WHEREAS, A skillful and patient instructor, Chris Monsour has been tireless in his efforts, and he has encouraged numerous students to fully develop their knowledge and interests so that they might achieve their full potential. Understandably, his spirited intellect and painstaking approach to his work have won him a host of admirers; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, Chris Monsour has not only taught many young people, but he has also established a solid foundation for succeeding generations. His unstinting contributions of time, talent, and seemingly inexhaustible energy to students and teachers alike have gained him the appreciation and esteem of everyone with whom he has been associated, and his career stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Christopher Monsour as Ohio Teacher of the Year for 2026 and offer best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Christopher Monsour.
