A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring The Ohio State University spirit team as the 2025 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend The Ohio State University spirit team on its tremendous success at the 2025 Universal Cheerleaders Association & Universal Dance Association College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Ohio State University spirit team is, indeed, to be heartily applauded, for it decisively earned first place in the Division IA spirit - game day category at this year’s UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship. The squad’s performance reflects the outstanding collective effort by a gifted group of athletes, and clearly, the hours spent practicing and preparing were time well spent; and

WHEREAS, The members of The Ohio State University spirit team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that befit true champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have consistently maintained their composure and morale. Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most formidable rivals; and

WHEREAS, By prevailing over a host of adversaries, the members of The Ohio State University spirit team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their national championship title is a measure of their stalwart commitment to excellence, and their indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and coach incredibly proud; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to The Ohio State University spirit team for outstanding achievement and extend best wishes for a bright and successful future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State University spirit team.
