A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Upper Arlington High School girls water polo team as the 2025 OHSAA State Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Upper Arlington High School girls water polo team on securing the 2025 Ohio High School Athletic Association Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Upper Arlington High School girls water polo team has achieved a tremendous feat in winning its sixth state championship in seven years, its twenty-second in program history, and the culmination of an exemplary season was marked by tremendous achievement. The Golden Bears’ strong performance, combined with an adept drive to succeed, has led the squad to this outstanding victory, and the group has earned the appreciation and admiration of many; and

WHEREAS, The accomplishments and development of the Upper Arlington High School girls water polo team are fine examples of what can be attained by a group of hard-working young people supported by a dedicated coaching staff. Throughout extensive conditioning and training, the members have developed into dynamic competitors, and they are deserving of acknowledgement; and

WHEREAS, With great admiration, we congratulate the athletes who comprise the Upper Arlington High School girls water polo team, for they have overcome many formidable opponents and displayed tremendous prowess. Indeed, we are confident that as they meet their future challenges, they will take with them the lessons of comradery, diligence, and discipline; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, heartily applaud the Upper Arlington High School girls water polo team as the 2025 OHSAA State Champion and praise the strength of this program and its participating athletes; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Upper Arlington High School girls water polo team.
