A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Landon Kimmel as the 2025 Division II State Boys Cross Country Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Landon Kimmel on securing the 2025 Division II State Championship in boys cross country; and

WHEREAS, A diligent and capable individual, Landon Kimmel is deserving of acknowledgement for his exemplary accomplishments as a member of the Tippecanoe High School boys cross country team. A remarkable athlete, he won this year’s Division II State Championship with a time of 15:12.70, and his notable record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the 2025 season, Landon Kimmel prepared conscientiously in pursuit of the state crown, devoting countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning. This demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends, for he certainly has set an example for others to emulate. Time and again, he has risen to the occasion, maintaining his morale, composure, and good sportsmanship, and he has gained the respect of even his most determined rivals; and

WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach tomorrow’s leaders the fundamentals of self‑reliance and the rewards of individual effort, high school athletics have become a valuable tool. We are proud to salute Landon Kimmel on his athletic achievement, and we are confident that the skills and dedication he has demonstrated as a cross country runner will aid him in facing challenges; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Landon Kimmel as the 2025 Division II State Boys Cross Country Champion and look with optimism to the years ahead; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Landon Kimmel.
