A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the American Association of University Women Middletown Branch on its Centennial.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the American Association of University Women Middletown Branch on its One Hundredth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the AAUW Middletown Branch, for throughout the past century, it has achieved a remarkable record of service to the area. Since its inception, the chapter has been involved in many significant endeavors to empower area women, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the organization itself but also on its dedicated members and on the entire community; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, the AAUW Middletown Branch has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area, and through its generous contributions, it has earned the respect and gratitude of the many citizens it has so capably served. We are certain that as this exemplary organization maintains its unfaltering dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has been the hallmark of the national AAUW since its establishment; and

WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of groups such as the AAUW Middletown Branch that Ohio has gained a reputation as a state that is responsive to the needs of its citizens and has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work. This fine branch is truly worthy of acknowledgement; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the American Association of University Women Middletown Branch on its One Hundredth Anniversary and offer best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the American Association of University Women Middletown Branch.
