A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Olentangy Orange High School football team on winning the 2025 Division I State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to salute the Olentangy Orange High School football team as the 2025 Division I State Champion; and

WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, the Olentangy Orange High School football team is an impressive group of athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. At the 2025 Division I State Championship game, the squad seized the title from St. Xavier by the score of 28-14, and this victory, the first state crown in program history, will be celebrated for many years to come; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Olentangy Orange High School football team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a dynamic force in high school sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved throughout their perfect 15-0, 2025 season; and

WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of the Olentangy Orange High School football team primed themselves under the guidance of Head Coach Wes Schroeder to secure this year’s state crown. Indeed, the Pioneers have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the Olentangy Orange High School football team on its success and honor the athletes and coaches for their tremendous prowess; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Olentangy Orange High School football team.
