A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Lieutenant Tylun Campbell as the recipient of the 2025 Outstanding Peace Officer of the Year Award.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Lieutenant Tylun Campbell on being named the 2025 Outstanding Peace Officer of the Year by the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association; and

WHEREAS, The OPAA Outstanding Peace Officer of the Year Award recognizes an Ohio law enforcement officer who displays exceptional integrity, dedication to service, professionalism, and a positive impact on public safety, and it is fitting that Tylun Campbell has been accorded this prestigious distinction. A lieutenant with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, he has fulfilled his diverse responsibilities with resolve, sensitivity, and the utmost competence, and he has gained the respect and appreciation of the entire community; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career in law enforcement, Tylun Campbell has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to professional excellence, and he has become a fine ambassador for his chosen vocation. Conscientious and fair in his approach to his work, he has been tireless in his efforts to ensure the safety of Ohio’s citizens, and clearly, he is deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, It is through the efforts of people such as Tylun Campbell that the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office continues to be effective in serving the needs of local residents. A remarkable individual, he has ably safeguarded the rights and property of area citizens, and those pursuing a career in law enforcement could find no finer example to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Lieutenant Tylun Campbell on being presented with this coveted honor and extend best wishes for continued fulfillment in the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Lieutenant Tylun Campbell.
