A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Paul Otten on being named the 2026 Ohio Superintendent of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to celebrate Paul Otten on receiving the 2026 Ohio Superintendent of the Year from the Buckeye Association of School Administrators and the American Association of School Administrators; and

WHEREAS, Paul Otten is, indeed, a remarkable individual, combining civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in his community. Willingly giving of his time, abilities, and enthusiasm, he has established a record of superlative success as the superintendent of Beavercreek City Schools since 2016, and he has set an example that is worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS, Known throughout the area as an exceptional administrator, Paul Otten has demonstrated commendable devotion to encouraging achievement, and he has gained the esteem and appreciation of all those who have come to know him. His outstanding work as an innovative communicator and coordinator shows the potential of people to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society; and

WHEREAS, It is through the unsurpassed efforts and unparalleled commitment of individuals such as Paul Otten that our nation continues to grow and prosper and our state remains responsive to the needs of its youth. He has earned a well-deserved reputation as a generous and civic-minded person thanks to his role in such projects as establishing the district’s Air Force Junior ROTC program and implementing new career technology education pathways. Clearly, he is deserving of applause for his concerted endeavors on behalf of Beavercreek City Schools; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Paul Otten as the 2026 Ohio Superintendent of the Year and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Paul Otten.
