A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on its Centennial.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on the memorable occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated February 8, 2026; and

WHEREAS, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church has been an important place of worship in the Dayton community since 1926, and it has endured by finding commonality in prayer, worship, and fellowship among its diverse congregation. For the past century, this House of God has served as a tremendous source of spiritual inspiration, and it has encouraged countless people to pursue lives of service, learning, and faith; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious celebration offers the members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church the opportunity to share their memories and to reflect on the benefits of life in their close-knit community. Under the guidance of its fine religious leaders, both past and present, the parishioners have expanded on the best traditions of the past to ensure a benevolent and prosperous future, and they can be proud of the remarkable examples they have set through their values and principles; and

WHEREAS, The members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church have stood strong in the face of numerous challenges, and they have had a positive impact on the lives of many local residents. Indeed, this milestone represents their dedication and commitment to keeping the institution alive in the surrounding community, and all those associated with this beacon of society are deserving of high praise; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on its One Hundredth Anniversary and offer best wishes as it upholds its rich legacy of faith and fellowship in the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
