A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Bryanta L. Spencer as the 2025 NASW Ohio Social Worker of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Bryanta L. Spencer on receiving the 2025 Ohio Social Worker of the Year Award from the National Association of Social Workers; and

WHEREAS, Bryanta Spencer is truly worthy of recognition, and congratulations are certainly in order. A licensed independent social worker, the founder and clinical director of Fortitude Wellness and Consultation, LLC, and the social work manager at the Cuyahoga County Public Library, she has given willingly of her time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected. Indeed, she has been exceptional in the performance of her duties; and

WHEREAS, Consistently exercising sound judgment, Bryanta Spencer has been conscientious in discharging her diverse and challenging responsibilities, and she has been a fine ambassador for her vocation. Being selected as the 2025 Social Worker of the Year is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her colleagues, and her community; and

WHEREAS, Bryanta Spencer’s enthusiasm and devotion to others has earned her the respect and gratitude of her peers and the many people she has helped as well as of the state that she has so capably served. Without a doubt, she has pursued her goals in a painstaking manner, never failing to overcome even the most seemingly insurmountable obstacle, and those interested in a career in this important field could find no finer example to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Bryanta L. Spencer for outstanding accomplishment and salute her as an exemplary Ohioan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Bryanta L. Spencer.
