A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Grady Kinsey on being named Ohio Mr. Football for 2025.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Grady Kinsey on being selected as the 2025 Ohio Mr. Football by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association; and

WHEREAS, A diligent and capable individual, Grady Kinsey is deserving of recognition for his exemplary accomplishments as a senior member of the Indian Valley High School football team. An exceptional athlete, he accumulated 133 touchdowns, 840 total points, and 8,607 rushing yards over the course of his career as well as 50 single-season touchdowns, and during the 2025 season, he played an instrumental role in the Braves advancing to the Division IV State semifinal. Clearly, his noteworthy record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others; and

WHEREAS, Through his participation in football, Grady Kinsey has learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him throughout his life. Through his outstanding efforts, he has inspired countless people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set an example worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. With sports contributing to the development of countless youth, we are delighted to congratulate such a fine athlete as Grady Kinsey; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Grady Kinsey on his statewide distinction and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Grady Kinsey.
