A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Jeff Howard as the 2025 Ohio Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud Jeff Howard on being selected as the 2025 Ohio Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and the U.S. Marine Corps; and

WHEREAS, The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of coaches to provide both guidance and inspiration to the team members. As the head coach of the Woodridge High School boys cross country team, Jeff Howard is deserving of acknowledgement for dedicating himself to shaping the youth under his charge with consistency and building a culture rooted in accountability and pride; and

WHEREAS, Distinguishing himself as a conscientious and hard-working mentor, Jeff Howard has encouraged the members of the Woodridge High School boys cross country team to develop lifelong habits and gain confidence, all while become competitive athletes. Indeed, he has worked diligently to develop the players’ talents, and as a result of his efforts, he has been named the 2025 Ohio Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and the U.S. Marine Corps; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Howard’s unparalleled skill and drive have benefited the Woodridge High School boys cross country team, and he has gained the genuine appreciation and esteem of many. We commend him on his impressive coaching accomplishments and look with optimism to the Bulldogs cross country program flourishing under his committed and visionary leadership; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, praise Jeff Howard as the 2025 USTFCCCA Ohio Boys Cross Country Coach and count him among the ranks of exemplary Ohioans; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jeff Howard.
