A R E S O L U T I O N

To recognize June as Fidelity Month in Ohio, for the purpose of rededicating the state to the values of faith, family, and patriotism.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

WHEREAS, Ohio was founded on the principles and ideals of liberty that gave rise to, are protected by, and are enshrined in the Ohio Constitution and the Constitution of the United States of America; and

WHEREAS, Among those principles, faith, family, and patriotism have long been seen as crucial for the health of American society; and

WHEREAS, Polls and peer-reviewed research from the past decade indicate that support for these values is declining nationwide; and

WHEREAS, The cultivation of such virtues leads to a healthy and flourishing society; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of the State of Ohio, recognize June as Fidelity Month for the purpose of rededicating the state to the civic virtues of faith, family, and patriotism; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit duly authenticated copies of this resolution to the Governor and to the news media of Ohio.
