A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Kali Spengler on winning the 2026 Division II State Diving Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud Kali Spengler as the 2026 Division II State Champion in girls diving; and

WHEREAS, A junior standout for the Wauseon High School girls swimming and diving team, Kali Spengler can always be counted on not only to shine individually but also to contribute significantly to the teams’ collective effort. Indeed, she has inspired her teammates, thrilled her fans, and gained the respect of her opponents, and she made her coaches and family very proud by posting a score of 442.1 to win the 2026 Division II State Diving Championship; and

WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, and commitment during the 2025-2026 season, Kali Spengler has certainly distinguished herself as one of the most talented divers in Ohio. Through her participation in athletic competition, she has learned much about dedication, self-discipline, and leadership, and it is our hope that her example will serve as an inspiration for others; and

WHEREAS, With sports playing such an important part in the development of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to such a remarkable athlete as Kali Spengler. Thanks to her remarkable talents and her ambition to succeed, she has established a tremendous record of achievement, and it is no surprise that she has won so many admirers; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Kali Spengler as a stalwart competitor at this year’s state championship meet and look with optimism to her bright, promising future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Kali Spengler.
