A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Oakwood High School Academic Decathlon team on winning the 2026 Academic Decathlon State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to salute the Oakwood High School Academic Decathlon team as the 2026 Academic Decathlon State Champion; and

WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for knowledge and tenacity, the Oakwood High School Academic Decathlon team is an impressive group of individuals whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. In winning this year’s Academic Decathlon State Championship, the group secured the title for a remarkable sixteenth consecutive year, and this victory will be celebrated for many years to come; and

WHEREAS, During the season, the members of the Oakwood High School Academic Decathlon team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a dynamic force. Truly, these outstanding scholars can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved throughout each competition; and

WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards that the program has come to be associated with, the members of the Oakwood High School Academic Decathlon team primed themselves to reach their full potential. Indeed, these exemplary students have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the Oakwood High School Academic Decathlon team on its success and honor all associated for their tremendous prowess; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Oakwood High School Academic Decathlon team.
