A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Hunter Spangler as a 2026 OATCCC Indoor High School State Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Hunter Spangler on winning the 2026 Division 3 State Championship in the shot put at the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Indoor High School State Meet; and

WHEREAS, Hunter Spangler is deserving of high praise, for he has distinguished himself as an athletic standout through his concentration and perseverance to achieve tremendous feats. A member of the Liberty Center High School track and field team, he has established himself as one of the most decorated athletes in our state, and we applaud his championship winning performance at the 2026 OATCCC Indoor High School State Meet, where he threw the shot put an impressive 62 feet and 11.5 inches; and

WHEREAS, Hunter Spangler has exemplified all of the characteristics which are essential for success both in and out of the sports world, including courage, integrity, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship. Indeed, he has gained the esteem of a true champion through his unwavering commitment to excellence; and

WHEREAS, In a world that encourages individuals to reflect on the merits of advancing one’s endeavors, athletic competition has become a worthwhile outlet for success. We are delighted to recognize such a fine athlete as Hunter Spangler and look with optimism as he continues his development in field events; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Hunter Spangler as the 2026 Division 3 OATCCC Indoor High School State Champion in the shot put and anticipate his future with great excitement; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hunter Spangler.
