A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Buchwalter Greenhouse on its Centennial.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Buchwalter Greenhouse on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to Buchwalter Greenhouse, for throughout the past one hundred years, it has attained a remarkable record of service. Founded in 1926 by Ed and Rilla Hershberger to sell flowers and tomatoes, the fifth-generation family-owned company has expanded to offer hundreds of varieties of flowers, vegetables, herbs, shrubs, and trees, as well as houseplants, garden décor, flower pots, gifts, and other items, and it also provides gardening tips, conducts workshops, and hosts weddings and events; and

WHEREAS, The success of Buchwalter Greenhouse is a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the business itself but also on its astute management and hard-working employees. Due to their vision and initiative, this respected institution has earned the gratitude and appreciation of many satisfied customers, and it is truly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, Buchwalter Greenhouse has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area. We are certain that as this noteworthy enterprise maintains its unfaltering dedication to service and achievement, it will continue to prosper and will uphold the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Buchwalter Greenhouse on its One Hundredth Anniversary and salute it as one of Ohio’s finest businesses; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Buchwalter Greenhouse.
