A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the St. Xavier High School boys bowling team on winning the 2026 Division I State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the St. Xavier High School boys bowling team as the 2026 Division I State Champion; and

WHEREAS, The members of the St. Xavier High School boys bowling team are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly exceptional competitors. During the 2026 Division I State Championship, the Bombers bested the Elder High School Panthers to win their first state crown in program history, and the bowlers and coaches have earned the esteem of many for their unwavering commitment; and

WHEREAS, Coach Matt Hott has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the St. Xavier High School boys bowling team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad's outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the members have distinguished themselves on the lanes, and he has received respect and admiration from all who know him; and

WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the St. Xavier High School boys bowling team have gained discipline and perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the St. Xavier High School boys bowling team as the 2026 Division I State Champion and honor all those who contributed to the success of this fine squad; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the St. Xavier High School boys bowling team.
