A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Aaliyah Flowers as a 2026 SkillsUSA Ohio Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Aaliyah Flowers on placing first in the braiding and hair design event at the 2026 SkillsUSA Ohio Championships; and

WHEREAS, Aaliyah Flowers has admirably represented the Whitmer Career and Technology Center at this year's SkillsUSA Ohio Championships, and as a result of her unparalleled talent and technique, she secured first place in the braiding and hair design event. Her tenacity in the face of competition is not only an indication of the pride she takes in her work but is also an example of how each person can encourage progress in the world around us; and

WHEREAS, Aaliyah Flowers' commitment to excellence has gained her the esteem of her peers and her teachers, who have empowered her development and achievement. We commend her exemplary work, for she has upheld the foundation of excellence through which the State of Ohio will continue to grow and prosper; and

WHEREAS, Displaying self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Aaliyah Flowers has identified herself as a conscientious and hard-working individual. The knowledge and self-confidence she has gained through her participation in programs such as SkillsUSA will no doubt be of great benefit to her throughout her lifetime, and we applaud her on her tremendous efforts; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Aaliyah Flowers on her recent accolade and look with optimism to a future that is impacted by her impressive promise and potential; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Aaliyah Flowers.
