A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Brandon Copic as the 2025 Storm Chaser of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Brandon Copic on being named the 2025 Storm Chaser of the Year at the National Storm Chaser Summit in Westminster, Colorado; and

WHEREAS, Brandon Copic is, indeed, deserving of commendation, for he has earned a well-deserved reputation as a highly skilled leader in his field. Clearly, this prestigious distinction is a fitting tribute to him for his outstanding efforts as a storm tracker with FOX Weather, and he has certainly distinguished himself as a conscientious and responsible Ohioan; and

WHEREAS, A remarkable individual, Brandon Copic has brought insight and exceptional ability to his important work, and he has exhibited a degree of professionalism and dedication of which he can be proud. With an unwavering commitment to exceptional weather forecasting, he has gained the appreciation of many, and it is only fitting that he be honored for the initiative and perseverance he has consistently displayed; and

WHEREAS, Never content to take a passive role in life, Brandon Copic has chosen a vocation through which he has often risked his own safety to ensure that storm-related news is reported accurately and directly to the public, and his devotion to ensuring his audience remains informed and aware has earned him the respect of his peers and the loyalty of many thankful viewers. Without fanfare, he has proven himself to be innovative, resolute, and utterly dependable, and young meteorologists could find no finer example to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Brandon Copic on his recent accolade and salute him as a fine Ohioan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Brandon Copic.
