A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team as the 2026 Ohio ProStart Invitational Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team on winning the culinary team event at the 2026 Ohio ProStart Invitational; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team are a remarkable group of students, combining talent and competitive spirit with exceptional knowledge to establish themselves as a truly exemplary squad. With commendable dedication, they performed admirably against teams from across the state, and as a result, they won first place in their event at this year's Ohio ProStart Invitational and qualified for the National ProStart Invitational, where they placed third. Throughout long hours of practice and preparation, the students have displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they can be proud; and

WHEREAS, In preparing themselves for this important contest, the members of the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team, Stephen Gillespie, Teagan Leske, Ricardo Martinez, Esther Wilkinson, and Logan Zawie, have had the opportunity to develop and express their individual abilities and to acquire knowledge and information that will be of great benefit to them throughout their lives. Having worked diligently to sharpen their skills, they confronted competition with confidence and enthusiasm and distinguished themselves as worthy representatives of their school, community, and state; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team is a fitting tribute to the excellent leadership provided by its advisor, Chris Olszewski, who has given tirelessly of his time, energy, and expertise to guide the members. The squad's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride not only for the students but also for their advisor, their families, their school, and their community. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through their participation in this exciting activity will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team for outstanding achievement and honor the members and advisor as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team.
