A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Rick Turner as the 2026 SkillsUSA Ohio Superintendent of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Rick Turner on receiving the inaugural SkillsUSA Ohio Superintendent of the Year Award; and

WHEREAS, This prestigious distinction is, indeed, a fitting tribute to Rick Turner in recognition of the exemplary efforts he has displayed as the superintendent of Vantage Career Center. In this role, he has contributed outstanding support and guidance to the endeavors of the school's students and teachers, and as a result, they have excelled in SkillsUSA competition; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure, Rick Turner has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has shown a genuine commitment to attaining the myriad goals of the school in a skillful and professional manner, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his career in the field of education, Rick Turner has encouraged countless students in their scholastic pursuits and has helped to nurture within them a desire for excellence in both their academic and vocational endeavors. Willingly giving of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, he has earned the respect and gratitude of his colleagues, his community, and, most importantly, his students, and we applaud him on his tremendous work; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Rick Turner as the 2026 SkillsUSA Ohio Superintendent of the Year and salute him as one of Ohio's finest educational administrators; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Rick Turner.
