A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team on winning the 2026 Division III State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to salute the Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team as the 2026 Division III State Champion; and

WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, the Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team is an impressive group of athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. At the 2026 Division III State Meet, the squad secured the championship title with a time of 47.76 seconds, and this victory will be celebrated for many years to come; and

WHEREAS, Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team members Princess Timko, Ashley Montgomery, Karlie Walp, and Madison Henkel have clearly risen to the occasion and proved themselves to be a dynamic force in high school sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved throughout the 2026 season; and

WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of the Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team have primed themselves under the guidance of their coach to secure this year's state crown and reach their full potential. Indeed, the Whippets have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team on its success and honor the athletes and coach for their tremendous prowess; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team.
