A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Waynedale High School baseball team on winning the 2026 Division V State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to salute the Waynedale High School baseball team as the 2026 Division V State Champion; and

WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, the Waynedale High School baseball team is an impressive group of athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. At the 2026 Division V State Championship tournament, the squad secured the title by besting Columbus Academy 9-5, and this victory will be celebrated for many years to come; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Waynedale High School baseball team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a dynamic force in high school sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved throughout the season; and

WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of the Waynedale High School baseball team primed themselves under the guidance of Coach Lucas Daugherty to reach their full potential. Indeed, the Golden Bears have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the Waynedale High School baseball team on its success and honor the athletes and coaches for their tremendous prowess; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Waynedale High School baseball team.
