A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Kaitlyn Carr on winning two 2026 Division V State Track and Field Championships.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Kaitlyn Carr as the 2026 Division V State Track and Field Champion in the 1,600- and 3,200‑meter events; and

WHEREAS, Kaitlyn Carr has consistently excelled as a member of the Smithville High School girls track and field team, and in her senior year, she secured the Division V State Championship in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:57.78 and in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:52.85. Indeed, her legacy of achievement with the Smithies will certainly continue to inspire; and

WHEREAS, Kaitlyn Carr can always be counted on to shine, and her abilities and sportsmanship have been important factors in her success. A tenacious competitor, she has shown tremendous devotion to long distance running, and through her outstanding efforts, she has set an example worthy of applause; and

WHEREAS, The estimable commitment to excellence that Kaitlyn Carr has put forth to establish mental fortitude and physical development has been unparalleled. To her credit, she has demonstrated the skill, integrity, and dedication that define a true champion, and she has certainly made a lasting impression as a talented high school runner and a fine ambassador for the Smithville High School athletic program; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor Kaitlyn Carr on her state championships and praise her as a fine Ohio student athlete; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Kaitlyn Carr.
