A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Dominic Knapp as the 2026 Division III State Champion in the boys pole vault.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Dominic Knapp on winning the 2026 Division III State Championship in the boys pole vault; and

WHEREAS, A junior member of the Bloom-Carroll High School track and field team, Dominic Knapp is deserving of praise for his remarkable athletic gifts and indomitable spirit. At this year's Division III State Meet, he put his talent on display by clearing 15 feet, 10 inches to win the pole vault title, and understandably, the strength, stamina, and skill that he has exhibited have earned him many admirers; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the season, Dominic Knapp could always be counted on to shine, and by maintaining his morale, composure, and good sportsmanship, he has gained the respect of even his most determined rivals. Indeed, his involvement in sports has enabled him to learn much about dedication, self‑discipline, and leadership, and in the process, his exceptional prowess has made all those who have supported him very proud; and

WHEREAS, We are pleased to pay tribute to Dominic Knapp on his stalwart accomplishment. Throughout his high school athletic career, he has prepared conscientiously in pursuit of excellence, and his unwavering commitment has established a notable legacy at Bloom-Carroll High School; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Dominic Knapp on his state championship in the pole vault and look with optimism to his continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dominic Knapp.
