A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Kylah Meyer on securing first place at the 2026 Division II State Track and Field Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Kylah Meyer on her performance in the 3,200-meter run at the 2026 Division II State Track and Field Meet; and

WHEREAS, A senior at Louisville High School, Kylah Meyer has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. A strong competitor, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in her event, and as a result, she won first place in the 3,200-meter run with a meet record-setting time of 10:28.89 and became the first state champion in program history; and

WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Kylah Meyer has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, Kylah Meyer's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Kylah Meyer on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Kylah Meyer.
