A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Cohen Reer on winning a 2026 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals Wrestling Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Cohen Reer on securing first place in the 120-pound weight class of the 16U age division at the 2026 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals; and

WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and dedication during the 2025‑2026 season, Cohen Reer has certainly distinguished himself as one of the most talented wrestlers in the State of Ohio. After winning the Division III State Championship in the 106-pound weight class, he went on to place first in the 120-pound weight class of the 16U age division at this year's U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals; and

WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Cohen Reer has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion. To his credit, he could always be counted on not only to shine individually but also to contribute significantly to his teammates' collective efforts; and

WHEREAS, A student at Edison High School, Cohen Reer is truly worthy of acknowledgement for the formidable athletic gifts and the competitive spirit that he has so amply revealed throughout this past season. He has inspired his teammates, thrilled his fans, gained the respect of his opponents, and made his coaches and family very proud; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor Cohen Reer on his impressive wrestling accomplishments and wish him a bright, rewarding future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Cohen Reer.
