A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Carsen Hostetler on winning a 2026 Division III State Track and Field Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Carsen Hostetler as the 2026 Division III State Champion in the 300-meter hurdles; and

WHEREAS, A diligent and capable individual, Carsen Hostetler is deserving of recognition for his exemplary accomplishments as a member of the Indian Valley High School boys track and field team. An exceptional athlete, he placed first in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 37.01 seconds as well as third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.16 seconds at this year's Division III State Meet, and his notable record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others; and

WHEREAS, Through his participation in sports, Carsen Hostetler has learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him throughout his life. Through his outstanding efforts, he has inspired countless people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set an example worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. With sports contributing to the development of countless youth, we are happy to congratulate such a fine athlete as Carsen Hostetler; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Carsen Hostetler on winning a 2026 Division III State Track and Field Championship and salute him as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Carsen Hostetler.
