A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Wyatt Lendon on winning a 2026 Division II State Track and Field Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Wyatt Lendon as the 2026 Division II State Champion in the 1,600-meter run; and

WHEREAS, A diligent and capable individual, Wyatt Lendon is deserving of recognition for his exemplary accomplishments as a member of the New Philadelphia High School boys track and field team. An exceptional athlete, he placed first in the 1,600-meter run at this year's Division II State Meet, and his notable record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others; and

WHEREAS, Through his participation in sports, Wyatt Lendon has learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him throughout his life. Through his outstanding efforts, he has inspired countless people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set an example worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. With sports contributing to the development of countless youth, we are happy to congratulate such a fine athlete as Wyatt Lendon; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Wyatt Lendon on winning a 2026 Division II State Track and Field Championship and salute him as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Wyatt Lendon.
