A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring St. Columban School on its One Hundredth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate St. Columban School on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a fitting tribute to St. Columban School, for since it began operation on September 21, 1926 under the guidance of Father Auer, it has played a valuable role in preparing countless students to meet the challenges of the future. With an unwavering commitment to educational excellence and faith, the school has worked diligently to offer scholars a well-balanced curriculum that seeks to develop ultimate academic and practical skills, and it has earned the gratitude and respect of students, parents, and the community alike; and

WHEREAS, Schools provide young people with much more than basic educational opportunities, and we are certain that in the years to come, St. Columban School will maintain its unfaltering dedication to helping pupils become capable, well-rounded individuals. As the school celebrates this special anniversary, the students, staff, and alumni of this fine institution can be justly proud of its tremendous accomplishments and numerous awards; and

WHEREAS, Education is vital to our nation's continued economic and social well-being, and as the need for global learning and understanding increases, so do the demands placed upon the people who uphold our system of education. Over the years, all those associated with St. Columban School have consistently and effectively met these challenges, and they are deserving of high praise; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend St. Columban School on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to St. Columban School.
