A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Elite FC U-16 girls soccer team as the 2026 National Cup Super Group Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Elite FC U-16 girls soccer team on winning the 2026 National Cup Super Group Championship; and

WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Elite FC U-16 girls soccer team have combined talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the team members have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in soccer, and as a result, they defeated a tough opponent from Minnesota Thunder Academy to win this year's National Cup Super Group Championship title; and

WHEREAS, The Elite FC U-16 girls soccer team's achievements and leadership are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their families, their coaches, and their community. With this victory, the team members have not only developed their talents to the fullest but also learned valuable lessons of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to all those associated with the Elite FC U-16 girls soccer team for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Elite FC U-16 girls soccer team on its tremendous season and salute the members and coaches as fine citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Elite FC U-16 girls soccer team.
