A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Hamilton West Side Little League team as the 2026 State Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Hamilton West Side Little League team on winning the 2026 State Championship; and

WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Hamilton West Side Little League team have combined talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, they have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in baseball, and as a result, they won this year's state championship, advanced to the Great Lakes Regional Tournament, where they went undefeated, and ultimately ended the season with a second-place finish at the 2026 U.S. Little League World Series and fourth-place finish in the world; and

WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Hamilton West Side Little League team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their community, and their coaches. In leading their team, the manager and coaches have not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in them a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding manager and coaches for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Hamilton West Side Little League team on its tremendous 2026 season and salute the members, manager, and coaches as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Hamilton West Side Little League team.
