A R E S O L U T I O N

Recognizing November 2026 as Ohio Military Family Appreciation Month.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Ohio Military Family Appreciation Month, November 2026; and

WHEREAS, Ohio Military Family Appreciation Month is, indeed, an appropriate time to pay tribute to all military families, for they have combined courage and dedication with tremendous strength and resolve during their loved ones' loyal service on behalf of our country, and they have earned the esteem and gratitude of Americans everywhere. Through the observance of this important occasion, we stand with all military families, whose shared service and resilience hold our communities together; and

WHEREAS, As Americans enjoy the freedom and democracy that service men and women have helped to perpetuate, we feel the deepest appreciation for their families, who have demonstrated devotion, quiet sacrifices, dignity, and strength while carrying the weight of our nation's security right alongside the uniform. There are those who take for granted our precious rights and privileges, never adequately considering the enormous personal costs so frequently exacted in conjunction with the fulfillment of military obligations. We owe it to our military families to remain keenly aware of how dearly our nation has always paid for its liberty and its ideals; and

WHEREAS, We extend our utmost respect to all of Ohio's military families, acknowledging the profound sacrifices they endure in support of our nation's defense. We are proud to note that it is through the hard work, skills, and sacrifices of Americans like these that the United States remains a strong and respected nation; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize Ohio Military Family Appreciation Month, November 2026, and urge all citizens to participate in appropriate programs and activities associated with it; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit duly authenticated copies of this Resolution to the news media of Ohio.
