A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Canton Palace Theatre on its Centennial.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Canton Palace Theatre on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the Canton Palace Theatre, for throughout the past century, this fine business has attained a remarkable record of service to the area. Since opening on November 22, 1926, the venue has hosted films, concerts, theatrical productions, community performances, and special events, and it has entertained innumerable people in Canton; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Canton Palace Theatre is a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the business itself but also on its astute management and on its hard-working employees. This respected enterprise has earned the gratitude and appreciation of many satisfied patrons due to the vision and initiative of its staff, and it is truly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, the Canton Palace Theatre has unquestionably enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area. We are certain that as this worthy establishment maintains its unwavering dedication to service and achievement, it will continue to prosper and will uphold the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Canton Palace Theatre on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Canton Palace Theatre.
